In terms of funding, the directorate coordinates the allocation of internal research resources to schools and institutes. It evaluates grant reports from researchers and monitors how external funds are used to ensure compliance and impact. To support innovation and commercialization, the directorate works closely with the coordinator of Technology Transfer office to identify patentable research outputs and promote their incubation. It also collaborates with the Publicity Committee to share major research findings with the public. Additionally, the directorate supports researchers by identifying funding opportunities, developing multi-investigator proposals, and organizing thematic research teams to respond effectively to specific calls for proposals.
